| ... It the fluid was very very dark and looked like It had never been changed. I replaced the same amount I drained but my question Is when Should I do It again considering that the fluid was very dark and dirty the first time I drained It and Is there a filter I Should change? How Should I check the ATF fluid level I've seen videos telling me I need to check the temperature of the fluid? Thank you for your time! | |||||

| Vehicle: 2013 Lexus ES350 122,000 I took my vehicle to Lexus dealership to do a transmission drain and fill; Lexus used the Lexus ATF WS. Only about 1 quart drained out. Now I'm planning to do another drain and fill at an Independent mechanic, would It be ok to use the Toyota ATF WS? Are these fluids the same just with different labels? | |||||

And one more thing, I checked the oil level and according to Honda's explanation In the book (warm up the engine, turn It off, wait a minute and check) the gear fluid Is high But according to explanations on YouTube, they say that the vehicle Should be left running, the gear fluid Is fine... | ATF-DW1 supercedes and Is compatible with ATF-Z1, which Is no longer available unless you run across some old stock. | |||||

| Out of curiosity, I called the dealership this morning where I bought my FJ. I also buy the Toyota brand ATF I use to drain/fill all 5 of my Toyotas from them. I asked the guy I know at the parts counter what they use and he told me, "We go to the auto parts store where our account Is and just buy a few cases of power steering fluid." | |||||
