| which model year from (2017-2020) of the automatic transmission ford ranger should I buy? | 21Relevance | 3 years ago | onatismo | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I'm planning to buy a used Ford ranger that is automatic. I'm choosing from a 2017 Ford ranger wildtrak with a 6speed automatic and a 3.2L turbodiesel engine. There are also 2018 - 2020 models that has a 3.2L engine and a 2.0L single turbo engine with 10speed automatic. They are old sold with prices from 20000usd - 23000usd. Which one should I check first? Or should I avoid it? | |||||

| A quick Google search pulled up quite a few options. O'Reilly Auto has several. Pitman Arm - 1996 Ford ranger | O'Reilly Auto Parts (oreillyauto.com) I could get two of them at my local store right now. Also check on Rock Auto. There are thousands of those trucks still on the road, they're not obsolete yet. | |||||
| Answer to: What should i choose as my first truck? 2020 Ford F150 XLT V8 5.0 or a Toyota Tundra. | 40Relevance | 5 years ago | Mod_Man | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I say Tundra, but not because I'm a Toyota fan. I'm not. I've been a Ford man all my life. And when it came time for them to stand behind their product, they showed me exactly what they think of their customers. I'll tell this story again, so if you've heard it just skip my reply: I purchased a brand new 2018 F150 XLT Crew Cab with the 5.0L V8 and 10-speed automatic. It had 5 miles on it when I took delivery. By 800 miles, it had gone through 2 quarts of oil. I took it to the dealer. They told me "Its just breaking in. Add some and the usage will go ... | |||||
| Should I buy a Ford Ranger | 21Relevance | 5 years ago | hruiz33 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Thinking about getting a mid size pick up. Wanted to see what you think about the Ford ranger? Obviously Chevy & GMC also have a mid size pick up but not very well made from what I've heard. So thinking about a Ford ranger wanted your opinion. Thanks | |||||

| Answer to: Best small SUV for $10K or less? | 20Relevance | 2 years ago | Justin Shepherd | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I'd rather get a Toyota Camry for $10,000. Heck, when I was hunting for another hood for my old ranger, all I had was my 2017 Mustang. I found a matching body color ranger, and unless I wanted to drive out of the way to get the ranger, I took the Mustang. I got the donor ranger's hood in my Mustang with a couple bungee straps. I had to leave the trunk partly open, but it worked surprisingly well. I really don't think you need an SUV. They're pretty overrated. | |||||

| If you're talking about buying brand new, you're in between a rock and a hard place. I wouldn't get the Nissan Frontier because it's a new design and we don't know how it will turn out in the next 5+ years. The Ford ranger with the EcoBoost I4 is also not the best option out there. If you had to choose between the two, lease the Ford ranger. | |||||

| Reading through the other responses, I'm not sure anyone wants to know the truth about the "new" Ford ranger, but for what it's worth: The "new" ranger is not new. The same basic machine has been in continuous production in almost every nation EXCEPT North America, where production and new vehicle sales with the 2011 model year. The engine used in the North American version is based upon the Spanish-built 2.0 L Eco-Boost Gen 2 engine. Ford extensively modified that engine, stroke it to 2.3L, added a twin-scroll turbo, so now, the anemic little 2.0L basic e ... | |||||
