What's Your Opinion On A 2013 Chevy Sonic?Mine Has 34000 Miles On It... And What's Your Opinion On Lincoln Town Cars, I'm Thinking Of Buying One Soon
Those are pretty cool. They're based on the Honda Civic of the time so they're pretty reliable and parts are easily available. If you're looking to buy one, I suggest going with a manual transmission. It will be more reliable and fun to drive. Also, I would not recommend that as a daily driver because it's 28 years old - it's best used as a weekend car for occasional use.
I would run away fast if I were you. Crown Victorias are excellent cars, but police cars live an extremely hard life and retired police cars are on their last legs. If you find. Crown Victoria that wasn't a police car I would say jump on it.l, but if it was a police car then run away.
the one i have found used to be a taxi.
Unfortunately retired taxis have a hard life too. I would still run away. It is also possible that yours was both because some taxi drivers buy retired police cars so yours could be a retired taxi and a retired police car.
They can be but you are talking a very old car. For a project car they can be alright but you would never want to buy one with the intention of driving it daily.
Is it running?
i know the chevy sonic looks attractive because of the low miles but honestly not worth it
get the mass produced car everyone tells u to get honda and toyota
Very solid cards. Basically the same thing as a Crown Victoria. Since they're a bit older you'll want to make sure you have a mechanic check yours out before you would buy it. But very solid, easy to work on cars. Pretty bullet proof...pun intended? 🙂
Just a warning before you consider buying it:

Those were solid cars, go ahead and buy one.
It would make a fantastic 18 year old lawn ornament.
Anything that runs and goes down the road OK is worth more than $1500. Even if it lasts only a year you'll be ahead of the game. Just make sure it has no serious problems before buying.
The Lincoln Town Car. Probably one of the few used American cars I would get, assuming it checks out.
It’s the same platform as the Crown Victoria. Which cops use. So those things need to be bulletproof, pun intended.
Hey Scotty , I'm Thinking Of Buying A Mercury Grand Marquis , What's Your Thoughts On These Cars?
Hey Scotty, I Found A 1998 Lincoln town Car With 140,000 Miles, The Lady Wants 2,400 Dollars For It, Is It A Good Buy?
Those are solid built cars. Ask a mechanic to check it for you and negotiate the price too.
I don’t know much about the price (I would negotiate), but I do know that it is an amazing car! I have a 1999 model and I love it! It is the most comfortable, cushy, smooth riding car you will ever drive. It is basically a lazy boy with a V8. It isn’t fast, by any means, but it isn’t slow either and has plenty of power. With care, I have heard of Town Cars lasting 600,000 miles! You will have to keep an eye on the windows, they have (or will develop) a tendency to get stuck (as in all panther platform cars), but Scotty has a video on how to fix that easily. If you get one with the stock Alpine stereo with the 6 disk changer and the stock subwoofer, it sounds darn good too. I think you will be very happy with the car if you decide to buy it😃. Oh, and one more thing. If you put a loud sport exhaust on it, it will sound meaner than a mustang...
Hey Scotty, I Found A 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor With 112,000 Miles, They Want 2000 For It. It Runs And Drives, Should I Buy It?
And Should I Change The Fluids Since I Don't Know The Last Time They Were Changed?
$2000 is nothing for that car, although you should realize that the mileage does not exactly show how hard the car was driven and how ling it has been idling. If you end up buying it, it is a good idea to change all the fluids.
Hey Scotty, What Do U Think Of A 2012 Lincoln Mkz With 120,000 miles?
I’d stay as far away as I could. With that many mi even if it was well taken care of I still wouldn’t mess with it.
Ignoring the hybrid, the 2012 MY came with a 3.5L V6 (Duratec 35, part of the Ford Cyclone engine family). Anyhow, this engine had the water pump relocated to the valley behind the timing cover and is driven by the timing chain, which was a poor design choice! If the water pump goes you will pretty much have a damaged engine. At 120,000 miles and assuming the water pump was not replaced you might be on burrowed time.
I would pass on that.
Hey Scotty, What Do You Think Of Those 1984 And Up Box Chevy Caprice? Are They Reliable?
Hey Scotty, What Do You Think Of Lincoln Mark Lt Trucks? Are They Reliable Trucks Or Should I Get Something Else?
Which years/generation? The 2006-2008 had the 5.4L Triton V8 engine (3-valve) which had serious issues. See below:

Not reliable at all. It’s basically an F150 with more crap technology stuffed into it.
2011 CARS HAVE AN HOURS SETTING AND MILES SO IF YOU PUSH THE BUTTON ON THE ODOMETER IT WILL SHOW HOW MANY IDLE TIME IS ON IT.
For 2k that’s a decent deal and honestly these cars are kinda a hit or miss you might get one that’s pretty good or terrible just look out for the transmission, suspension parts and most importantly the intake manifold it’s notorious to fail and that part ain’t cheap though every other thing is, to sum it up it’s a gamble when buying a old police car
Hey Scotty, Thoughts On 2000 to 2005 Cadillac deville base sedan?
