Hi Scotty,
I am looking at buying a new car and upgrading to an SUV from my current car (Hyundai Elantra). The two I’m looking at are Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride. I’ve seen other reviews and know these companies are intertwined ownership-wise but was curious if you had any opinion one way or another on either of them. I’ve had my Elantra for 8 years and it’s been great, little to no issues. Never had a Kia before but style wise I slightly lean towards the Telluride.
How many years and miles do you need it to last you?
I wouldn't buy either. Hyundai/Kia quality is very poor and you are lucky the Elantra has lasted as long as it has. But hey, if you want to go double or nothing and roll the dice, it's your money. But I wouldn't recommend or purchase either.
I would never buy a Korean car myself I'd buy a Toyota or Honda but it's your money feel free to buy either realize they're basically the same company anyway
If I were you and you really like those vehicles, just lease it. These are fairly new vehicles and jury is out on long term reliability. The Hyundai Motor Group has not had a good track record thus far, so I don’t have high hopes but we’ll see. In any event, test drive both and see which you like more. But, lease them don’t buy them and return before the warranty expires.
