Vtc Actuator

Topic starter

2011 Honda accord four-cylinder 147,000 miles I have noticed that the VTC actuator needs to be changed again. Will it be OK to not replace it the guy I bought the car from. Says he Had it fixed under warranty by Honda and Honda said that it would mess up again and it would be OK to drive  is that correct facts or does it need to be replaced. I know Honda wants $1000 to fix it that’s with parts and labor. The car drives and runs fine it’s just that hideous noise on first start up after sitting for 4 to 6 hours

Find an honest mechanic to do the job or do it yourself. ChrisFix has a good video on that topic:

Yes seen that video I am just nervous to do that myself

I understand, that's why you need to find an honest mechanic. Dealers charge way too much for everything.
