Where can I find data about my '09 Honda Civic?

Hi Scotty and friends of Scotty! its been a while since I asked a question, here goes: I looked up my VIN, but I wasnt satisfied with limited info. All I really can get is that my '09 Honda is a 1.8 Liter, and made in Alliston Ontario Canada. I thought it was Japan, I was mistaken. Is there a website where I can find the tranny type and more specific data? Thanks.

Well, it looks like nobody is offering a definitive answer, so let me offer a couple suggestions. The online VIN lookup sites are oriented to finding out prior owners, accidents, sale prices, etc. Honda, Honda dealers and parts companies have a lot of detail that's cross-matched by VIN# - they have to to sell/install the right parts for any given car. So, I'd suggest trying online parts sellers, like Rockauto, as they will have some of that kind of detail, and the correct parts number. Or, try the Parts dept at a Honda dealer (go when they're not busy, bring doughnuts or cold drinks).

What kind of details are you looking for, other than transmission type?

@glen_stet I thought I could get data similar to something like all specs of the car, like the serpentine belt size, Trans type, types of fluids to use, like a maintenance manual, NOT a user's manual. I guess I'm dreaming. And I know what you are saying about the Honda dealer guys. Yeah, bring them a pizza because they are like spoiled brats where I live. The car needs nothing, yet. It needs an oil change, Im waiting for help with that. And I know I need a new serpentine belt at some point, I thing the original one is on there. Thanks for replying, have a good night.

From a quick Google

I found this - it would seem to have a lot of what you're looking for

There seem to be quite a few Honda-specific forums that might have what you want

@glen_stet Thank you SO very much!!! Very kind of you. Love my Honda, runs SO smooth, trouble free.

When you need a serpentine belt (or other parts) you just tell the auto parts store your make and model, and they'll sell you the right size - they look it up on their computer. Or if you buy stuff online, you just input year, make, model, etc.
