I have a V6 01' Mustang Coupe with 158,000 miles on it and one of the strut housing are rusted out. Can the housing be welded back onto the frame? The rest of the frame is in good shape.

You should be able to buy that section, cut the old one out, and weld in the new piece. Something a body shop can do but will cost some $$$.

And try to figure out why just ONE spot has rusted on the car... i.e. check other corners and inspect under car. After replaced, make sure good paint on top and bottom (i'd spray some undercoat on bottom side of it.
