I have a 03 crv, 205k miles. When I put gasoline in the car, the car is difficult to start. It’ll crank over and over and it just won’t start on its own.
so what I usually do after getting gas is crank it over for about 2-4 seconds and throw the car into drive and it’ll jerk a little then eventually run normally right after.
also the same car, it won’t go over 3,000 rpm when accelerating. If I get to 3,000 rpm the car will jerk hard and will not past 3,000 rpm. So when accelerating, when I’m near 3k rpm, I let go of the throttle allowing the gears to switch

For the rev issue, check the catalytic converter, it may be clogged up. For the fuel issue, most likely the purge valve stuck open on the canister.
