I've read online that the early 4.2 by engines had issues with head gaskets going out regularly. I have no been able to find any information on how reliable the 03 4.2's are or if they even fixed the head gasket issue by then. Some guys say they are slow but reliable, others say they are bulletproof provided they have fixed the head gasket problem. Thank you!

No they're pretty good engines that guess cuz it's not blowing all that many of them I think some of that had to do with bad maintenance myself
