So I got a 2004 Chevy Chevrolet Silverado 1500 got 280,000 miles on it but okay so no codes but when I jump start the car or truck it will run it'll stay on it'll say it has 14 volts of power to the alternator it's got a brand new alternator new battery but when I shut it off it's dead when I go to turn it back on right away

Well you obviously have some kind of a problem in the charging system. Start by having both the battery and the alternator load tested. Odds are one of them is bad. Or you have a wiring problem. You can have 14 volts at the alternator but if it's not making its way back through to recharge the battery it'll do the same thing
