- Hey Scotty I replaced my power steering rack in an 04 Toyota Sequoia after I got it off the lift and drove it the steering wheel was upside down I took it to the shop for an alignment and they said they couldn't align it because the wheel was upside down. How can I get my steering wheel back to the way it was. Do I need to take the rack back off and try to get it the right way or do I take it to another shop?
Find shop that's actually willing to work on cars rather than come up with excuses not to help you.

Take it to another reputed front end alignment shop.
I thought it was their job to fix alignment issues..
Hi.
Is there a coupling on the steering shaft that can be undone to allow the steering wheel to be turned 180 degrees and then tightened again?
A half turn on the steering wheel does seem a lot to expect a tracking establishment to sort out.
If the steering wheel is not keyed on the shaft it can be removed and put back in the correct position. (Of course that means monkeying around with the air bag and clockspring so needs to be done with care.)
Remove the steering wheel. Rotate it 180 degrees. Put it back on.
