Hey I had recently replaced the oil filter housing gasket on my 2005 f150 with the 4.6 liter engine with 213k on it, it was leaking oil but it seems to still be leaking, there is oil on both sides of the oil pan gasket as well as on the back of the torque converter, it drips onto the sway bar and onto the ground from there, what could be causing this leak and what should I do to properly diagnose the leak?
Has the oil pan gasket ever been replaced?
I am not sure, but it seems to be all over the gasket and leaking off the back of the torque converter onto the sway bar, I know the pan gaskets are uncommon on those trucks, but the rear main seal could be common
@Seacucumber47 Yeah that’s weird, I mean I could only think it’s coming from either both or one of those areas. I’d replace the oil pan gasket just cause that’s an easy fix. Rear main isn’t bad just a lot more work.
