05 Ford E150 5.4L triton cargo van
Hey Scotty I just wanna say I absolutely love your channel and I've been following you for years now and I always put people onto your channel. I have a question about my 05 Ford cargo van with the 5.4 triton motor. It has no problem when I get in it in the morning to start it up it turns over normally. But after I drive it for a little bit and it gets warmed up it takes a couple tries to start and seems like it may not start back up. If I leave it off for a while it starts ok. It seems like the problem is almost non existent if the engine is cold. And when it is warm if I cycle the key a couple-few times it starts up a little better. Should I try installing an external fuel check valve in the fuel line? Thanks Scotty!
Well, if you had an external leak, you'd smell the gas leaking. More often. It's an old vehicle that when it's warm floods itself out and you got to crank it a few times. A cold engine needs extra fuel so it doesn't care. But it warmed up engine. If it gets extra fuel it'll flood itself out and you'll have to keep cranking it to make it go
