06' 4runner overheating/no heat

Hey all, I have a 06 4runner with the 4.0 V6 with 305k on the clock. It's recently started over heating. While sitting the temp guage rises to ¾ and sometimes hot. (I'm in NY where's its around 35 degrees currently) But when you start driving, even in the higher RPM's, it cools back down to normal. The coolant was a bit low, but after adding some there's no difference. There's no visible coolant leaks.  Since this problem has surfaced, there's also no heat. There was a bit at high RPM but not alot. It did have heat prior to this issue. I flushed the heater core a few weeks back and it's been fine til now. Could these issues be related? And if so what could it be? I was thinking a weak water pump, or clogged radiator if that's even possible. Any help or recommendations is appreciated, thanks.

First change the thermostat. If you had a clogged radiator the faster you went the hotter it would get so it certainly not that.
