Hello there, I have a 2006 Scion XB Automatic transmission with 152k original miles. I bought it a couple years go with 135k miles. It's been great so far. My question is I've only done oil changes, air filter changes and new tires. I want to keep it for at least another 5 years. What services should I do to it next? Dont mind putting some money into to last as long as it can who knows maybe 10 more years another 100k miles. Also 1 thing i notice that when engine is cold it won't go into last gear, once engine is warm then it goes into last gear on the highway. Is that a sign that transmission is going out? Maybe needs a transmission oil change? Thank you for any responses

Check the ATF conditions, if it does not have a dark color and does not smell burnt, go a head and drain and fill it, do not do the flush and you do not need to drop the pan. Most likely, by changing the ATF, your issue will be resolved.
