- 2007 Acura TSX 4 door. 83k miles. Also automatic. $3100 but it needs a mew muffler
What would be the best buy and what are the pros and cons of each car?

Same thing at the end of the day. TSX is nicer but more electronics which means prone to failure and costing $$$
I would go Accord.
If the TSX owner is too lazy or cheap (or both) to replace a bad muffler, imagine how much other maintenance has been neglected. No thanks.
Mechanical wise, I think they are almost the same car? Or at least super similar.
Some details to look into. If it comes down to it, choose the one with a timing chain. I believe that is the generation Honda switched the 4 cyl to a chain.
I personally like the styling of the TSX better, but choose whichever one you like better.

They both have a timing chain. The TSX owner dropped the price down to $2700, which seems like a great thing but at the same time something seems sketchy about it. The Accord is surely great buy but I wanna see if the Acura is more worth it.
@Jay since the TSX owner dropped the price, you want to check the entire car out by hiring an honest mechanic. It's better to pay a mechanic to check a car out while buying, rather than buying a crappy car in the first place.

car insurance for 4 door sedan is usually cheaper than 2 door coupe.(regular consumer cars, not fancy exotic hyper driving machines)
How does it work out for the Accord Coupe that technically falls under a sedan, because of the interior space measurement?

Parts availability and prices ?
So this is what I know
The 07 Accord has : better gas mileage, better maintenance, more parts available, more style than the TSX
but the TSX has : less miles on it, needs a muffler, more horsepower, more luxury, uses premium fuel, is cheaper than the Accord.
Any other thoughts?
i had a 2006 tsx that my ended up with my niece, now has 225K, transmission still in working order, they love that little car, the only thing that they have had to do was a wheel bearing so far
