2007 Nissan Sentra 156k miles automatic

runs and drives great, but have noticed sometimes when breaking it kinda jerks towards the end. Is this normal? Doesn’t always do it. My car runs great and doesn’t act weird other than this. It is a cvt

It is a cvt

When is the last time the CVT fluid was changed? The Jatco CVTs used by Nissan tend to be fragile and short-lived, especially if not serviced regularly.

I changed it a few thousand miles ago and even then it didn’t look bad. Yes it is a cvt

I see some people saying it’s normal others saying it’s not

So seeing if anyone knows for sure

could be warped brake rotors. Is there pulsation in the brake pedal?

Any idea how often it was changed? It should be done at about 30K intervals for maximum life, so at this point the fluid should have been changed about 5 times since the car was new.

It could be the CVT is just starting to break down but you'd need to have it analyzed with a professional-grade scan tool by a transmission expert to be certain.
