Hey Scotty, what do you think of an 07 Silverado?
They were much better built than new ones but not great. Older ones around 2000 are much better.
They are way better than the new ones but I think this was the second year they started using AFM, which I would never consider buying. Stick with 2005 and earlier is my motto.
2007 marks the beginning of the 2nd Gen Silverado (2007-2014) and is when they offered cylinder deactivation (what GM calls Active Fuel Management or AFM) on all their V8’s except for the 4.8L V8 - growing pains especially in the early years adopting this technology. So I would pass on that truck. 2006 was the last model year for the 5.3L V8 in the Silverado before cylinder deactivation.
