I have an 07 V6 4runner 163000 miles. Changed spark plugs and found oil on top side of plugs, (looked almost like tar) these plugs were torqued to spec so I am leaning towards issue is bad valve cover gasket. How difficult is that of a job/ what would a mechanic charge/ should I bring it to Toyota/ should I live with it for now

If it's leaking, it has to be replaced. Do not take it to Toyota. Find a competent independent mechanic.
No visible signs of oil leaks down sides of engine just somewhat of an oil buildup on 4 of the 6 plugs. What is a reasonable charge for labor and is it better for this gasket to be OEM
