I have a 2008 Toyota Avalon Touring with about 163,500 miles. A few times since I've purchased it, the alarm will go off without reason but today, it went off about 4 times. Something to note is that when I bought it, I looked in the trunk where the spare tire was and there was about an inch or two of water where the tire was (I foolishly did not look in there when looking to purchase the car) so it could have been a flood car. I imagine that that could have something to do with it so my questions are, could there be another reason why the alarm would go off randomly and can I fix it? Thanks.
Yeah well if you had that much water check all the wiring in the trunk to see what's going on. Any minor electrical short causes a drain which will turn the stupid alarm on
