08 GS350 AWD overheating???

Hello everyone,

I have an 08 Lexus GS350 AWD, when I exited a highway the "Check VSC" light came on and slight growing stuttering noises can be heard as I drove about 2.6miles to my home. All the while the noises-struggling, stuttering became louder and the RPM needle was dipping and raising betweein to 2k and lower than 1k pm. It finally gave out as I was about to make a turn and the  engine apparently overheated then shut off. I let it cool off for a few minutes and I started it, it worked long enough for me to park it before the growing noises and stuttering rpms returned. All the while I did not notice the temperature gauge which showed that the engine was overheating until I parked it. When I opened the bonnet, the engine was very hot!

Prior to this incident, a new radiator installation was performed in April and old coolant replaced with the "Zerex Asian Vehicle Red Silicate and Borate Free"- coolant. An oil change was performed two weeks ago using Toyota's oil, Mobil1 spin-on oil can filter and a Baxter Performance adapter. If anyone can help me.

This happened yesterday as well but it only made slight stuttering, struggling noises of which I confused for debris getting trapped in the wheels and rubbing up on things. The gauge did not display any overheating and it did not shut off. Then in the morning the "Check VSC" light came on, of which I confused for the gas cap not being on tight. Oddly the gas cap wasn't tightened enough. It was only until about 30 minutes did the "Check VSC" display and overheating occur.

Anyone please help, I will greatly appreciate it!

Regards,

Michael B.
