I have a 2008 mercury mountaineer, 4.0, awd with 135,000 miles. When I’m driving 30 to 40 mph and slowly press gas pedal I get a constant back and forth vibration or thud. Not sure what it is. Thanks for any help.

Could be a bad torque converter. You really need to answer ALL the questions asked in the first paragraph.
