Hey Scotty - Love your YouTube channel and thanks for calling me stupid when I do stupid stuff lol
Now here's one that pisses me off. What's up with Nissan and Toyota (and others) pushing their first oil change service to 10,000 miles? They were just giving me the guilt trip for being 1000 miles late for my 4 year old model which uses the same dam oil.....0W20 Mobile One.
So they give me trouble for being 6000 miles when it needs to be changed every 5000. Then turn around and publish a new schedule for 10,000 for some of their new 2022 Models? wow What a bunch of bozos.
I have a theory that auto manufacturers have worked out their maintenance schedules so that their vehicles take a crap about ten minutes after the warranty runs out. I just take their recommendations and divide by 2.
I would change every 5 to 6 thousand miles or once a year. Do whatever comes first.
The dealership told me I only have to change the oil on my 2019 Camry every 10,000 miles…. I don’t listen to them. I change it every 5,000 miles. Farthest I’ll go without an oil change is 6,000 miles
