Have the feeling the answer is a Toyota or Honda, but figure if I can ask the expert. Need a $10k first car for my 17 year old son. He lives on Long Island with his Mom, my ex wife, I live on the Jersey Shore. Thank you, and I really enjoy your content.

Long Island-my hometown. Try a Toyota. Honda's reliability goes back and forth. Check for rust underneath the car because of the salt on the roads during winter.
