My name is Damian I’m from Chicago IL and I’ve been watching you for several years. I’m reaching out to you as my last resort and with hope of some sort of lead on my car. I Bought a 16 Audi A6 3.0T with the ZF8 over a year ago. I bought it over a 16 S4 Bc I didn’t want the problems of a dual clutch and no manuals were available. I also heard nothing but amazing things about the ZF trans. Well that’s become my biggest issue on this car. I’ve been to 2 different Audi dealerships and about 3/4 times with this issue. I spent 200$ on this issue doing a trans adaptation and it did nothing. Here is a video of the shifting issue that does not go away. It seems like 2 gear slips, the revs almost bounce throughout second gear. That’s the biggest concern but altogether at low speeds the trans just is slow to react and sluggish. Also for the first about 5 mins after car is started (cold or fully warmed up) it shifts late. over 2k rpm and It’ll sit at like 2,200 rpm driving 38-40 mph until it hits about 5 mins into car being on and then it’ll shift down to a normal rpm range. And be fine until the car is shut off and turned back on again. (It used to not do that but started a few months ago) Both Audi dealers just blow me off and say it’s normal that they can’t find anything wrong but it’s not. Back when I first got the car it shifted perfectly and I drove my friends car which is same thing and it drove completely different. I took an Audi tech on a test drive and he didn’t say much. He obviously felt the problem Bc it lurches the car forward slightly and the revs are weird but I feel like he just didn’t want to admit to it and have a hard time diagnosing it since there are no codes present. Not sure if it’s trans or torque converter related. Maybe you’d have a lead on this issue or had a customer with it before I appreciate any help I can get. The car is 100% stock Bc I have warranty on it besides a cold air intake just to have the supercharger sound. Thank you in advanced. Car has 44k miles currently. Bone stock car.

- Well I hate to break it to you but only a fool would buy a used Audi. They're endless money pets they require all kinds of special equipment to work on now those ZF transmissions are great transmissions but that is put into an Audi with all the Audi electronics and without an Audi dealer scan tool and years of experience working on problems like yours is like pissing in the wind.but if you're near Clarksville I have all the tools that work on and I can analyze it free for you so I'd probably just tell you to get rid of the stupid thing
