I have been having issues with this car for a while, and have spent a lot of money and time wasted trying to find the solution. the car has about 95k miles. the issues have gotten worse over time. first started with random misfires and would maybe having a flashing engine light and traction control system issues. but then would go away. this would happen sometime, and would sometimes be good. I thought it was a cat issues because we were getting cat codes and thought it was this. Then the issue got worse to what it is now with more frequent misfires and traction control issues. Not sure if it is related, but the car has to have the battery disconnected after each use because if left plugged in will drain the battery.

got ripped off my a mechanic who changed the spark plugs just recently around 9/25/24. and the issue was not fixed. now taking it to the dealership as another seemingly honest/reputable shop said based off what I have mentioned here said this might be best to take to the dealership.

Want to maybe hear if anyone know what the issue is, more insight? and what to listen for when the dealer tells use what is wrong as to know whether they are trying to rip me off.

Thanks in advance if you made it to the end!!!!

If you mentioned the battery drain to the mechanic and he suggested you need to take it to a dealer, well, you need a better mechanic. A good mechanic would test the battery and alternator, then he would find out whats' causing the battery to be drained. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B__DqK90IIc
