I had the bank 2 cam/crank correlation code come on, the engine went to limp mode and was running rough. I parked it, the dealer cleared the p0019 code and said it was running fine, the engine light hasn't came back. But why would the light come on if it had no issues. Any thoughts or similar problems?  Thank you.

Even something like bad gasoline can trip that cold if it doesn't come back it could have been that but if it does come back it often can mean that the timing chain can be worn making the correlation be off

Thank you Scotty. Love your channel.

See below for what it could be:  how long has it been since the code was cleared?  Either it was what Scotty said, an electrical gremlin, or something wrong (see link) and code might come back.

thank you very much,
i do have a scan tool, craftsman 20890, with freeze frame capabilities, i'd be lost without it. i'm working on saving up for a better scan tool.
I will check the alldata site, sounds great.
With the timing issues people have had in the past with this 3.6l engine it has me questioning my choice. thought a nice naturally aspired engine would be more reliable than the turbo ecoboost mustang. I just don't have the money for a new v8, i'd never buy a used one.
I have a 04 Pontiac grand prix with 300k miles on the 3800 engine (i bought new, took good care of it), I thought the 3.6 camaro thinking it was supposed to be the newer version of the old 3800 only with vvt and direct injection but gm just botched it. i honestly thought id get similar results with this camaro, but the old saying they don't make them like they use too.
