What type of todays motor oil is best for the L6-226 engine?

The Willys "Super Hurricane" engine was designed for straight weight oils, probably 20W in winter and 30 or 40 weight in summer. Motor oils have gotten much better in the meantime so using 10W30 or 10W40 oil should be fine year-round. That's what I used in the old Rambler flathead sixes which are similar in design.
