hello i have a 1979 chevy c10 how do i replace a serpentine belt 5.7 350 there is no tensioner

Per the rockauto.com database (which may be wrong), the 5.7 for 1979 uses V-Belts, not a serpentine belt. That type is typically adjusted by a moveable accessory such as the alternator or power steering pump.

Cool old truck. They are getting very desirable.
Probably time to invest in a Haynes or Chilton manual.
