Scotty, I have a 79 Ranchero with a 351M that I’ve been working on. Come to find out one of the valve cover bolts was broken off in the head. I suspect it was cross threaded. I tried to remove it with a speed out, but the speed out bit broke off ! Now I am finding it near impossible to drill out or remove. Any suggestions? By the way, thanks for advice on what to buy, and more importantly, what not to buy.

You need to get a nut welded to the bolt (rosette weld). Then just us a socket to back it out.
