I found this 1984 Pontiac feiro for 2,000 the guy says it’s been in a heated garage until this winter, I kind of want to buy it for a car to ride around town in but I’m not to sure after hearing about them starting on fire, Any suggestions on what to look out for?
Which engine does it have. The 6 cylinder didn't really have fire issues. If it is a 4 cylinder it was recalled so the recall repair may have been performed. If not, GM is still legally obligated to perform the repair. The Fiero was much more looks than performance. It also tended to be rather disappointing reliability wise. Having said that, if you really like the car and you only want to use it as a toy, $2000.00 isn't really that much. Plus it sounds like they took good care of it.
No clue on wut engine it has was planing on calling the guy later but thx
Cool design but way underpowered. A car that old, you would want a mechanic to inspect it before purchase.
