MY car is difficult to drive on Montana roads in winter on seasonal tires, would there be worthwhile to switch to studded tires.I reside in Butte.
Studded tires are made for roads that have crazy winter conditions.
You're talking about a 37 year old car (older than me). I would not put tires on a vehicle like that because I don't know if you could find that type of tire for that car.
If you mean you've been driving on generic type all-season tires you'll find that a good winter tire like Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 will make a noticeable difference. The Nokian web site says they are available in 185/65R14 size, which is equivalent to your factory 195/7R14 tires. (Of course there are other good winter tires as well.)
