Hi Scotty, I have my eye on a 1985 Celica GTS convertible with manual transmission and 150,000 miles. I'm looking for an older, fun car to cruise around. What do you think about the Gen 3 Celicas? THANKS!

As long as you're wanting a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of car, it would probably be fine. Thoroughly check those things for rust. If you're wanting it as a daily driver, forget about it. You're talking about a 39-year-old car, and anything could be wrong with it.

Thanks for your quick reply. I'm not looking for a daily driver... just something fun to tool around in with the top down that won't cost an arm and leg to maintain. I'm concerned about the reliability of the 22RE engine.
