Hey Scotty I am planning on buying a 1985 Volkswagen Beetle with a manual transmission from Mexico, to bring back to Houston. The guy wants $2,000 and it is in working conditions, it is his daily driver and from the looks of it there is no rust on the frame. Is it worth bringing it and legalizing it ?

If you want to work on it and sell it here, I would say yes, but if you want to daily drive it, no.

That would be a really cool weekend toy to play around with but I would not want to rely on it for daily transportation.
