I just bought a 86 Chevy S10 for $600. 2.8 V6 with 207k miles. No rust on frame, runs decent.

Couple concerns is oil pressure level is at 80 when truck is running, is that too high?

Well 80 is too high but I doubt if it really has 80 it's probably a bad gauge. Have the pressure checked by a mechanics gauge to see if it's high or not. If it is high that would mean there's restriction somewhere and you would have high pressure before the restriction and low after which is bad

I will rent a oil pressure tester,

I've been driving it all over. And it hasn't acted weird mechanically, stays 80 when driving and never changes, guage goes to middle sometimes when off.

If it theoretically was 80, would it be running this good? And if that's the case, could it cause serious engine damage in the long run.
