My 1986 Ford F-150’s gas gauge does not work I recently replaced the front tank and the whole sending unit in the tank. It didn’t work before replacing the tank and still doesn’t, what do you think I should try next.

well check the wiring between the Sunday unit and the gas gauge on the dash if it has a short it won't work but more often is the dash unit that just breaks on those old things see if you can find a used one on a junkyard
