Have you any of you guys had a 1986 Ford Thunderbird if so did you like it.I have not high on one but I would like some people's opinion likes and dislikes are welcome. This car is in a showroom it has 96,000 mi on it.
What are you buying this car for?
We used to have a 1988 Thunderbird which is basically the same car, though ours had the V6 engine along with 4-speed automatic transmission. We had it about 15 years and it was quite reliable. (A guy who believed a red light did not apply to him finally took it out.) The one you're looking at has a different engine of course but the 5.0 is certainly a known quantity. Don't know what transmissions Ford paired up with that engine though.
Sounds like it is a stealership selling the car so they no doubt want top dollar. It would be wise to have a good independent mechanic give it a thorough evaluation before buying.
