Wow this truck is considered an antique in my state.

It is in Florida too its a 5.0 v8 a four speed automatic transmission and it has around 160,000 miles

Canada and Florida are about the same thing in The Winter Time.

@jimz
uhhh .. what Jim?

Seems a good portion of Canada comes to Florida so they can wear shorts all Winter.

haha yeah can you blame us. It's probably different this year though.

My old car would die when I made left turns, only.  Found a flaky condenser wire to the distributor.  Wire inside insulation was almost broken in two but insulation looked fine.  Fixed the wire that would flop when turning left, and fixed the problem.

You may have two problems.  One is a ignition problem and another a worn universal on the drive shaft.

the fact that it dies in reverse and not forward makes me suspect the transmission.  Have you serviced it lately?

there was transmission work done to it because it was slipping in some gears and that was fix but sometimes does it in gear when its cold but not after in been warm and running for sometime.

ok maybe it's just running weak when it's cold. Try putting a pressure gauge on the fuel rail.

Check and It has good pressure so I’m not sure what to look anymore
