1988 Chevy S10 Blazer 2.8 V6 Engine Question

  1. I purchased a 1988 Chevy S10 Blazer Tahoe 2.8L V6 with automatic transmission & 4x4 from the original owner.  It has 127k original miles.  What are some of the engine components that would require immediate review due to the age of the vehicle.  I've already had the coolant flush (previous owner use stop leak instead of changing the original cork valve cover gaskets) an oil change, acdelco spark plugs wires and cap.  My thoughts are to replace the vacuum lines and charcoal canister.  Is there anything else mechanical (steering, drive train, suspension) I should also be considering?

I would inspect the brake lines. Wouldn't want those popping on ya when you're approaching an intersection. Inspect brake hardware while you're at it and the fluid will probably need changing.

Doors seals, tires (including spare), shocks, bushings, serpentine belt, coolant hoses, power steering hoses, engine mounts, exhaust hangers, jack, wipers and so on....
