Shortly after I began retracting the power roof (weather permitting), the rear passenger's power window's motor died (the DR's-F&R works fine). I don't know if the roof retracting & pwr window motor assembly are in close proximity with each other. MechanicS are telling me they have to gut out the entire rear seat to get IN to see before "knowing" what to do ... is there a way from underneath to see exactly WHAT the situation is; eg. using an ENDOSCOPE to get an actual visual ... to see IF a wire was worn out and simply DISconnected rather than replacing a whole motor/regulator?
Also the front passenger pwr window is extremely SLOW coming up; could that be a lubrication issue or would it need a new pwr motor?
I just put a CompuStar 2W-T9R FM alarm & security system as it was broken into a few weeks ago. The PWR LOCKS work with the system but NOT when I lock/UNlock physically from the driver's side's interior pwr locks. Is that "normal"? Love your videos ... Thanks
Well if you can find somebody wants to look with an endoscope most guys it's going to say take the seat out. Do realize it's a really old vehicle. And ask for the part door locks. Yeah obviously them installing that system screwed that system up as long as they work. I personally would live with it unless you want to take it back to the guys who installed and see if they can figure out what went wrong
Please be aware that a lot of people that own convertibles do not lock their doors, reason being that a thief may cut your top in order to get inside. And tops are expensive.
