Toyota camry 1988
Charging system fixed and alternator charging battery at 14.2
Brake light and charge light come on when radiator fan turns on but when the radiator fan turns off the brake and charge light go away.
Rear light turns on when pressing the brake pedal.
I already checked the brake bulbs and wiring and none seem to be damage nor corrosion on the wires. Maybe it could be a brake pedal switch.
"Maybe it could be a brake pedal switch". Excellent place to start (cheap and easy... get good brand/oem)

update, the problem still came back with the charging system. I check everything and no blown fuses and all wirees look great. Maybe The ecu is acting up and wants the alternator to charge when it wants to.
@hillbilly
when i give it throttle it the volts go up but at idle it doesn't want to charge and the volts go down
If at rpm the charge voltage is correct, your battery is bad or you have an inappropriate current draw (too much due to a device added (amps) or a failing part).
Or, that's a poor quality rebuilt alt which is extremely common. Take it and get it checked.
I wouldn't hesitate to bet a few bucks on both of the above being the issue (take battery with alt to get checked ; )
@hillbilly
What if put a higher custom amp alternator of 175 amps , would it increase the chance of better charging the battery.
The battery is good because i tested it on my 94 camry and works perfectly
@hillbilly
What could be drawing alot of amps if the headlights are off and tailligts are off, and I just have a aftermarket radio with basic speakers but i don't think that is the problem.
Many things can go bad and draw current. I wouldn't try to fix it by putting on greater output alt and at low rpm it may not put out more amps to overcome the problem. You said bat worked in other car... how much current was it taking at idle? Go get bat and alt tested, next step imo.
@hillbilly
The voltage on my 94 camry at idle is around 14.2-14.3 which is perfect battery..
hehe... good to know but I wouldn't call it perfect by testing 1 specification of it but anyway, I don't have any other ideas for you to try/check, sry. But obviously there's a bad component or wiring in the charging system...which there aren't that many.
@hillbilly
There is no short because I had the car turn off for 3 days and the battery still maintain its voltage at 12.5. Wouldn't there been a short after the car the is turn off and it would've drain the battery. How can there be short when the car is on but when the car is turn off there is no short .

Load test the battery and alternator. If they are fine, odds are that you have computer issue. Good luck.
