Hey Scotty I bought a 1989 corolla wagon from an estate sale for 1500$. Fully restored by Toyota in the mid 90s and parked in a climate controlled garage it’s whole life. The carb was gummed up from sitting for 13 years, so now it has a Weber 32/36. It ran great with lots of power for a week and now it feels like there are no secondaries.
Get a rebuild kit for the 32/36 DGAV. Redline Automotive. You can try spray cleaner but I always get them on the bench and do the whole job for best results.
It’s a brand new genuine weber made in Spain. Carb has less than 500 miles. New electric fuel pump with a Redline regulator set to 2.5lbs. Acceleration is great until you hit half petal.
Sounds like it's not transitioning to the main jets. Check the float level setting (you have to remove the top cover). Check your fuel filter. How many turns open is your idle mixture screw?
