Hey, Scotty I have a 90' Lexus LS400 with 215k miles I recently noticed a gas fumes smell only not raw gas, coming from the rear truck area I checked the gas cap, and looked for any leaks around lower fuel filter area. what could be the causes?

Probably you have 34-year old hoses in your evap system that have deteriorated and are leaking. A smoke test should find any leaks.
