Scotty I was wondering what that bulbus attachment is on the tube between the air filter housing

Some vehicles will have a resonator attached to the air filter box. Engines don't ingest air in a steady flow. The take repeating, rapid gulps every time an intake valve opens. Depending on the shape of the intake, it can act like a horn to amplify the gulping sound, and it creates undesirable noise. The resonator's job is the muffle this noise. It acts exactly like the muffler does on the exhaust.
