Hello, my 1992 camaro just recently started to act funny. In park and neutral, runs great. As soon as I put it into gear it stutters and stalls. Did a complete tune up, no change. Took it 2 a garage and he isn't certain but thinks it is the torque converter. On a lift and running in neutral back tire spins somewhat fast. It will run and drive but as soon as I come to a stop, it wants to stall. I didnt check fuel pressure yet, it doesn't have a schader valve so I dont know how 2. I hear the pump, I see gas spraying.
It's a 1992 camaro rs 5.0 tbi. Please help
Obviously fuel pressure is a prime suspect, you need to check it. Also check for vacuum leaks and OBD1 codes. If you or your mechanic has access to a Tech2 or equivalent scan tool you can check further for data.
