Hey Scotty, I have a 1992 Toyota Pickup with 300,000 miles. It had a terrible idle when I bought it. I changed the Idle Air Control Valve and it idled just fine. However, when I start to drive it, the truck hesitates and the check engine light flashes on but goes away after I take my foot off the gas. I’ve already replaced the distributor, spark plugs and wires, egr valve, and maf sensor. I have even taken the intake manifold and and cleaned but there was still no result. What should I do next?
You're best to find an old mechanic like me with an old toyota scan tool that can access that information I use an old snap on brick. Because when it's flashing that means it's detected a serious problem such as a clogged up catalytic converter or really bad misfires
