Good evening . I have a 93 Wrangler and it seems to be shutting off every 10 to 30 mi going down the road. Crawled under and found a loose ground but I tighten that and it still seems like it wants to be shutting off. The other day I had it shut off and threw it in park and turned it over, but as soon as I went to touch the shifter to put it in drive, she just died. I can get her turned over and running. While sitting at idle I'll wiggle all the wires I possibly can to try to get it to die and I fail. As soon as I go down the road around maybe 10 to 30 MI, she'll just shut off and I'll have to pull over put it in park and she'll fire right up. Just started having this issue. Recently my Jeep was having a no spark issue. All throwing a distributor ,new ignition coil , spark plugs wires .I discovered it was my pigtail connector for my ignition coil that was shot.
I've experienced that kind of problem due to a bad ignition switch.
I replaced that a few weeks ago while throwing parts at her . Had the no spark issue and threw one under the dash. My old switch was pretty old looking. And you could just hit the ignition with out a key in her .
