Camry has 93k, when accelerating from a stop, revs to 2000, and slowly starts to go. While driving there is no issue with acceleration. Trans fluid full and clean, new plugs and harness recently. Any help would be appreciated.

Well said, but true. It sounds like your transmission is going out. If it caused a 2000 RPM right away, it's slipping.
Can this really be with only 94k original miles/owner? There had been no gradual slipping. It just started one day. Humor me Scotty, why has this happened?

Yes, and your description sounds like that's what is happening.

It's a 30-year-old car. Time takes its toll as well as mileage. The only way to be certain is to take the car to a transmission specialist for diagnosis. If you're lucky it's something like a hinky shift solenoid or something else that's not too bad of a repair.
