1993 Toyota Camry LE 3.0 liter Auto trans  215,000 miles  runs well

After a rain I noticed a little water in the hard plastic pocket of the front left door. It seemed to be getting in below the interior door handle molding, the fabric between the bottom of the handle assembly and the pocket was also wet. The exterior trim belt at the base of the front left window is cracked and beginning to come apart. Also, the interior panel at the front left door is a little loose at the window. I assume from potential improper re-installation of the panel after replacement of the exterior door handle by previous owner. Could water get in around the side mirror?
