I just rebuilt a 1993 toyota pick up 3.0 v6 3vze new every thing.. now the engine is wanting to loses power / lug down when going... i put a new torque converterin the old one would not set in... im at lost on why its not getting power / lugging down? Could it be something to do with the trans it shift but it shifts kinda hard?

Loses power as in rpms go down? In neutral can you rev it normally?
Hard shift sounds like a transmission issue. Check trans fluid levels? Could be gears slipping if your engine is revving high but not accelerating.
yes rpms go down. in neutral it will rev fine and in reverse it will go without lugging down but when in drive for a few minutes it will go and its like it loses power to pull the trans

Strange it would go this way for a few minutes. I'm not very knowledgeable in this, but does this occur at certain speeds or at any speed (trying to figure out if it happens in certain gears or all forward ones)? I was initially thinking that maybe a plug wasn't sparking causing a loss of power. If it happens in certain gears it's possibly a transmission issue. I'm thinking it isn't an engine problem if it has no issues going in reverse. The hard shifts are indicative of transmission issues. Hear any noises when it shifts? If so, does it make those noises on certain gears?
it dont make any noses when shifting i put a new touque converter in it. im just at a lose and having trouble explaining whats happening.. its like its in a high gear and shifting higher when it does shift thank you for the help in gonna see what i can do im a self taught machanic beside my grand father teaching me some again thank you

Also, I just realized something that happened to myself when my transmission went out... It is possible that your vehicle might be going into limp mode due to transmission issues to prevent any further damage.
Edit: sorry I just saw your last message. It is very much possible there might have been some issue with the new torque converter, either the part itself or the way it was installed. if it shifts into a higher gear, that's pretty much what it was like for me when it went into limp mode. Car goes into 2nd gear and stays there until the transmission was swapped out...
This is what gets my attention the most...

Trans bad imo
